Surgery had resulted in the physicians injuring a major nerve that ended up disabling me. I could not walk with a normal gait; only shufflinlg with great pain. I could not return to work. There was no money to pay bills and there was no money to give to someone to purchase my groceries for me. I begged God for money. As soon as I saw the mailman’s truck drive by, I readied myself for the long shuffle up the driveway. I prayed with every labored step that the mailbox would hold an answer. When I opened the mailbox there was only one piece of junk mail and a birthday card for my daughter. I almost fell to the ground with grief, my need was so great.
When I got back to the house I placed my daughter’s birthday card onto a desk, and found, surprisingly, underneath that card a very tiny envelope. I thought it might be another birthday card for my daughter. It wasn’t. It was from friends who lived in Tennessee; and it was addressed to me. I began to cry very hard when I opened that little card and found a $500 check inside. Prayer answered!
I immediately wrote them an email; not only to share the miraculous story, but to profusely thank them for their generosity. Within a few minutes there was an answer back from them.
My eyeballs are sweating!! Let me tell you the rest of the story. I had an appointment over an hour away from the house. The entire time that I was driving to that appointment God kept saying, you need to send $500 to Brenda. I went to my appointment and forgot about it, but then on the long drive home, God continued to press onto me that I needed to send you $500. When I got home, I knew I needed to talk to (his wife) about it. But before I could share the deep impression with her, she said that the whole time that I was gone the Lord had been telling her that we needed to send Brenda $500. Amazed by our identical instruction from God we sat down and immediately made out the check to you. It looks like it arrived in a timely fashion!
